The Irish folk melody Slane is also known as Be Thou My Vision. This arrangement for wind quartet is suitable in a service of worship at anytime during the year and especially around St Patrick's Day. This music is also ideal repertoire for High School and College wind ensembles looking for new and innovative repertoire. Each instrument has the tune at some stage and the accompaniment features both interesting counter-melodies as well as rich chromatic harmonies. The performance duration is approaching three minutes and the full score has four individual parts attached.
