This iconic piece was to be the third in an homage to the movie "Bad Santa". The other pieces being Shostakovitch' "Waltz #2" and Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty Waltz". I find, though that it stands on its own quite well. By moving the theme around between the various instruments, an entirely new perspective is given to the piece.
