This work takes the concept of motivic development and attempts to stretch it to it's limits. Everything evolves out of an initial phrase and quickly transforms into new shapes and forms as the piece continues. "Point of Origin" is an example of post-tonal triadicism in that it does not adhere to traditional tonal rules and yet makes consistent use of triadic harmonies. The resulting sound is one that is familiar to most listeners and yet still provides unexpected twists and turns.
