Written on June 13, 2015, "Asian Rock!" is an original piano composition in a jazz/rock Asian style. Lots of quartal and quintal harmonies, use of the minor pentatonic scale, and positive energy makes this a fun edition to anyone's repertoire. The recording has some simple light percussion and instrumentation included, but works well with pure piano. Fun oriental piano at its best! James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN where he serves as the Music Department Chair of Welch College.
