Based on verses 1-3 of Psalm 46, the words of this Scripture Song bring comfort and assurance by reminding us that God is our refuge and strength and we do not need to fear in times of trouble. This song is formatted as a vocal solo with piano accompaniment (3 staff piano-vocal score). Though the piece is written for voice it also makes a lovely instrumental piece with a C-instrument (such as flute, oboe, or violin) playing the solo part. Set in the key of C major, the solo range is from middle C to the C above. For the violin, all notes can be played in the first position on the G, D, and A strings making this an excellent selection for a beginning violin student.

The purchase price includes the 4-page full score plus a 2-page solo part. This song is also available as one of the 10 songs in the collection titled "Sing the Psalms" where each song is arranged using the standard two-staff format instead of the piano-vocal score of this solo arrangement.
