Product Description
Chopsticks was originally called The Celebrated Chop Waltz. It was written by a 16 year old girl named Euphemia Allen. Her brother was a music publisher, which is how it became known to the world. If you are not a proper pianist, chances are that you know how to play Chopsticks.
Since then, there have been many variations to this popular song. Margo Guryan is an American songwriter, who wrote the song, "Sunday Mornin'", among many others, had The Chopsticks Variations published in 1994. This work contained 14 variations.
This arrangement is a selection of the original song and 3 variations. It is scored for 2 sopranos, 2 altos, tenor, and 2 baritone saxophones. There is an optional bass saxophone part to play in lieu of or in addition to the 2nd baritone part. The movements included are:
* Original
* Variation 1 - Round
* Variation 2 - Andante
* Variation 3 - Allegretto
This is a light and cute piece!
