Product Description

This is a piano solo arrrangement of "Laura" as performed by piano artist, Liberace, on his emmy award winning t.v. show.  It has been adapted for piano solo.

"Laura" is a 1945 popular song. The music, composed by David Raksin for the 1944 movie film-noir classic "Laura", which starred Gene Tierney and Dana Andrews, is heard frequently in the movie.   The song became a jazz standard and has been recorded more than 400 times.

Władziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor.   He was born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin and enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!

Lyrics:

Laura is the face in the misty light
Footsteps that you hear down the hall
The laugh that floats on a summer night
That you can never quite recall
And you see Laura on a train that is passing through
Those eyes how familiar they seem
She gave your very first kiss to you
That was Laura, but she's only a dream

She gave your very first kiss to you
That was Laura, but she's only a dream
