Product Description

Elvis's classic tune here is used as the basic idea for a piano blues solo. It contains some essential blues licks and written in the original key of E (loved by all guitarists ) . I've succeeded in writing the complex rhythms of the blues without the pianist being able to play 3 eighths in the time of two without diminishing the hard driving style of the music. Every attempt was taken to make this a REAL piano solo complete with the drive and magnetism that Elvis brought to it. I decided to have one of my students perform this tune on an electronic "rock piano," something that I've never allowed them to do before. I wrote it for an acoustic piano in mind and I think it sounds fine on both instruments.
