In December of my last year in High School, I remember getting one particular Christmas gift from my mother. Since I was taking piano lessons, she gave me the sheet music to one of her favorite piano pieces, the CHOPIN POLONAISE. She had hoped that someday I would learn to play this famous Classical piece. After many hours of practicing, I decided it was just too difficult for my level of piano ability at that time.

Many years later, I decided to transcribe an easier and less technical piano arrangement of this Chopin masterpiece. Using the original score as a reference, my intent was to create an arrangement that was less challenging for piano students without losing too much of the feeling and sound that Chopin intended.

This arrangement of the POLONAISE is difficult, however not as challenging as the original. It captures the essence of Chopins work and lets the pianist play the piece with less technical skill then was needed in the original score.

The pages are clearly notated with suggested fingerings and pedal markings. Tempo, metronome, dynamic, articulations and phrasing  markings are indicated throughout the score as well as musical terms for performing. 

This famous CHOPIN POLONAISE is arranged for advanced pianists who want to learn this particular piece and who may get discouraged when presented with the technical challenges in the original scorechallenges that I encountered when my mother gave me the sheet music of the POLONAISE as a Christmas gift long ago.

This is a wonderful arrangement for advanced students, professional pianists, and piano teachers.
