Product Description

This sonata, originally for violin and piano, is the second of a pair which though composed in 1816, were not published until 1836 as Opus 137 numbers 1 and 2.  The style is Romantic with some progressive harmonies particularly in the first two movements followed by a Classical style Menuetto and Trio and a rondo like finale.

A very enjoyable four movement sonata for players from advanced intermediate standard.
