Product Description

The Gate of Tears is a piano solo arrangement of the 1905 hit pop song by Carrie Jacobs-Bond, which was originally a ballad for voice and piano.  I have created four distinctively different sections.  Section 1 I have double dotted the rhythm of the melody and added staccato chords in the inner voice to give this section a bouncy feel.  I really slow down and soften the dolorosa Section with double note values and fuller chords.  Section 3 picks the tempo back up and has a groove of detached jazz chords.  Section 4 slows back down into a stately bridge of thick duple chords.  There is a D.C. of the first two sections.  A great piece of powerful emotional drama.
