Scored for Two Trumpets (Bb Cornets/Flugel Horn), F Horn, Trombone/Euphonium and Tuba. There are alternative parts for Eb Horn and Bb Horn (F Horn), Bb Trombone/Euphonium in Treble and Bass Clef (Trombone), Eb and Bb Bass in Treble and Bass Clef (Tuba). Please Note: This title is published for Brass Quartet and Brass Quintet. The parts are not interchangeable and can be differentiated by looking at bottom left hand corner. During his short lifetime Schubert composed prolifically in many genres. His original composition of Marche Militaire was for 'four hands' or two Pianos, and all arrangements, including this one, usually present only the first part of the first of three marches that comprise the complete work (Trois Marches Militaire, Op.51). Among the devices used by Schubert is clever decoration of the opening and closing unison phrases which are suggestive of a bugle call.
