Based on the life of a tram. THE TRAM- 'Her First Day Remembered' is the first movement of three. A classical contemporary piece and composed for String Quartet, it uses various techniques, rhythms and repetitions recreating musically the tram and therefore has a sense of 'Programme music'. The piece is light, energetic and has a youthful demeanour. The music would be quite suitable for a beginner String Quartet for upper primary or middle school years and for aspiring contemporary youth groups.
