In the musical, Captain von Trapp and his family sing this together towards the end of Act 2, it is their subliminal goodbye to their homeland Austria. This arrangement for Flute Quartet is perfect for school or community ensembles looking for a short beginner level arrangement. Flute 1 leads the piece throughout playing the vocal line with Flute 2 playing a countermelody, together Flute 3 and Flute 4 add harmony and movement to the arrangement. Approx 2 mins.
