Product Description
This is an inventive and emotionally charged arrangement of one of the most famous Swedish hymns (Psalm 199), which is frequently sung in schools and churches at the arrival of spring and summer. The text, presented in the original Swedish with optional English translation by the arranger, celebrates the beauty of nature with elements of gratitude and prayer. Mikael Carlsson's arrangement takes an elliptic form, with the first and fifth verses offering multi divisi and close harmony, the second and fourth being in a more straight-forward chorale style, and the mid third verse being more naked in expression.
The arranger dedicated this piece to his wife and the piece was premiered at their wedding.
