When I am Laid in Earth often referred to as Dido's Lament is a famous aria from Henry Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas.  This arrangement for two violins and piano incorporates a freshly realized accompaniment as well as some countermelody material in the second violin.  The piece can be performed in a number of ways; solo with piano, duo with piano, or unaccompanied violin duet.

Included are the piano and duet scores.
