Product Description

An accessible and lyrical arrangement for three cellos of the favourite song from the musical Oliver! This arrangement is suitable for a mixed-ability elementary and intermediate group, with the first and second cello parts carrying the melody and counter melodies, and the third part the simpler accompanying bass line.

All of Emma's arrangements find creative and artistic ways to re-present original songs in a way that suits the new instruments and ensemble whilst maintaining the integrity of the original piece. Her aim is to go far beyond a simple copying of the melody and harmony, but to create an arrangement that sounds as if the piece was always meant for these new instruments.

Emma Butterworth is a composer for film and TV and also a successful Suzuki cello teacher. She has an intimate knowledge of how to write for strings, and has written and arranged a vast number of pieces for cellos and strings especially. All pieces have been played and performed.
