Product Description

Tenor & Harp. A small song-cycle on ancient Norse (Icelandic) saga poetry (Líf og dauði Cormaks skalds.)  Includes mixolydian, twisongur, traditional tunes from Iceland, classical and modal harmony. The poet-warrior hero finds a girl, is betrothed, but loses her. The unconnected Lay of Mengloth (Svipdagsmál) is included: for Tenor or Soprano, it is a brief, moving, simple, strophic setting of verses from a poem in the Icelandic medieval Poetic Edda.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
